This Sunday’s plate (6/23/19) is going to: The Manchester Chapter of the the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Their mission is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons. Their work includes educating organizations and individuals about the effects of racism, assisting those who have encountered discrimination or who are dealing with the criminal justice system, and helping youth of color with tools needed to succeed in their world. We had a wonderful Animal Blessing service today, offering gratitude for the animals who bless our lives. Due to a ministerial mishap, the beautiful Gucci, who blesses Karen Ager and vice versa, missed her moment in the slide show. Here she is - we give thanks for the blessing she is to Karen, and we bless her with our care. If you have additional pictures from the service, or pictures of animals that you didn’t send in before church, please post in the comments! It’s always a good time for a blessing.

Flower Power Picnic and Auction!
This Sunday's Outreach Offerings (June 9) will help cover our church's $1000 pledge to Family Promise of Greater Concord, as well as our own expenses for housing Family Promise families. Though we have taken several plates this year, we still need to raise over $500 to help cover the pledge, and additional funds for the renovations to the sleeping quarters for the families. Family Promise serves homeless families, helping them break the cycle of homelessness and achieve sustainable independence. familypromiseofgreaterconcord.org/
Drop by during office hours and bid on the silent auction items we have in the Parlor. There are some great items to get at some bargain prices. OR have a friendly bidding war for an item you really would like, in "silence." The LIVEly Flower Power Auction will be after service this Sunday, June 9.
